12d Solutions is excited to announce that
Main Roads Queensland has selected 12d Model as its exclusive software
application to support its road infrastructure delivery process.
This follows the adoption seven years ago of 12d Model as the sole Main
Roads survey package, and over a decade of 12d Model usage by Main Roads
on a wide variety of design and construction projects.
Selecting 12d Model was a business decision reached after eighteen
months' examination of the Main Roads business processes.
A key requirement for Main Roads was to have one civil modelling package
that covered survey, planning, design, tendering, construction and
as-constructed.
In addition, the package was required to incorporate visualisation and
data attributes for all delivery activities.
Broad industry usage in Queensland and strong vendor support were also
extremely important to the Main Roads decision.
The decision by Main Roads, which controls approximately twenty percent
of Queensland roads, adds to the almost blanket usage of 12d Model by
Queensland councils and civil engineers and means that almost all future
roads in Queensland will be designed in 12d Model. |
