12d Model for surveying is a powerful surveying, terrain modelling and civil engineering software package. It allows fast production in a wide variety of projects including roads, site layouts, subdivisions and environmental impact studies.

With 12d Model’s powerful design capabilities, difficult surveying and civil design tasks can be easily visualized and completed.

12d Model includes a powerful programming language which allows users to build their own options from 12dModel’s extensive programming library.

12d Model features data exchange with drainage and river analysis packages including Drains, ILSAX, PC Drain, RATHGL, HEC-RAS, Mike 11 and UNET, survey packages such as TP Setout as well as the CAD systems Intellicad, AutoCAD and Microstation.

12d Model has been specifically designed for easy use. It is ideal for use at all stages of projects, and is particularly useful for large route selection and corridor studies.

DTM Formation

Plotting

Programming Language

Surveying

  • Download from most instruments and convert to the 12d Model Field File ready for reduction

  • Corrections to field data (typically mis-coding or mis-numbering of strings) are done on screen, and the correction written back to the 12d Field File. This provides an audit trail of the office work, and allows an UNDO facility to be provided
  • Traverse adjustment by Transit, Crandall, Compass or Least Squares
  • Zone to Zone and general conversions between Lat/Long and Universal Transverse Mercator projections

  • Depth volumes can be colour-coded for validation and plots
  • Calculate surface area, depth contours (isopachs) and the intersection of triangulations
  • Slope, aspect and viewshed analysis including colour-coding for slope and aspect analysis

Waste Water Reticulation

  • Supports the design of gravity-operated waste water reticulation systems using manholes, connecting pipes and end of lines.
  • Obstructions within user-specified corridors about the design line are shown on long and cross section views 
  • Invert levels, connections from the design line to the individual house blocks can be added and reported on
  • Earthwork volumes for trenches can be calculated along the selected design line.
