In conjunction with CMM Fisher Stewart the Shire of Campaspe has developed a twenty-year
waste management economic strategy. The strategy provides a long term solution for the
collection and disposal of domestic and industrial waste.
CMM Fisher Stewart used 12d Model to determine the landfill capacity necessary to meet the
Shires future waste disposal needs.
To determine the landfill capacity of the quarries within the Shire, aerial photogrammetry was
used to capture the base data. Existing landfill sites were also surveyed to determine how much
more landfill airspace volume was available and for how much longer they could be used. These
sets of data were then fed into 12d Model for volume calculations.
12d Model was also used for the civil design of a transfer station at Kyabram for the Shire.
Users at the firm were impressed by the way the software
makes it simple to devise a concept design for landfill
configurations and quickly design infrastructure such as
perspectives to show council how a design will work.
